Using the Activity Feed

How to view all transactions in one unified timeline.

Overview

The Activity page combines all of your receipts, dispenses, and stock adjustments into one chronological view. This makes it easy to see all inventory activity in one place and track what happened when.

Summary Bar

At the top of the page, summary cards show:

Total Transactions — The total number of transactions in the current filter.

Receipts — Number of receipt transactions.

Dispenses — Number of dispense transactions.

Adjustments — Number of stock adjustment transactions.

Filtering

Use the filters to narrow down what you see:

Search — Find by item name, NDC, or reference number (invoice number or Rx number).

Transaction Type — Show all, or filter to just Receipts, Dispenses, or Adjustments.

Date Range — Select from quick presets (Today, This Week, This Month, This Year, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days) or set a custom date range using the calendar picker.

Users — Filter by the staff member who created the transaction.

Viewing Transaction Details

Click the eye icon in the ACTIONS column to open the full transaction details modal.

For Dispenses, you will see:

  • Date Dispensed
  • Product Information (NDC Code, Item Name, Quantity Dispensed)
  • Prescription Information (RX Number)
  • Audit Information (Created At timestamp, Created By staff member name)

For Receipts, you will see:

  • Date Received
  • Product Information (NDC Code, Item Name, Quantity Received)
  • Wholesaler Information (Wholesaler name, Invoice Number)
  • Audit Information (Created At timestamp, Created By staff member name)

For Adjustments, you will see:

  • Item Information (Item Name, NDC, Current Stock)
  • Transaction Details (Quantity Change, Created By)
  • Adjustment Details (Reason, Expected Stock, Actual Stock, Password Confirmed status)
  • A View in Inventory button to navigate directly to the product page

Understanding the Display

In Table View, each row shows:

  • Date & Time — When the transaction occurred
  • TYPE — Dispense, Receipt, or Adjustment (color coded)
  • Product — Item name
  • NDC — National Drug Code
  • Quantity — Amount (negative for dispenses, positive for receipts)
  • Stock After — Inventory level after the transaction
  • REFERENCE — RX number for dispenses, invoice number for receipts
  • CREATED BY — Staff member's initials
  • NOTES — Click the plus icon to add or view notes
  • ACTIONS — Click the eye icon to view full details

In Timeline View, transactions are grouped by date and displayed in chronological order with:

  • Product name and type badge
  • NDC, reference number, and time
  • Created by (staff initials)
  • Quantity change and stock after
  • Each transaction is separated visually for easy scanning
