Getting Started

Step-by-step instructions for setting up your pharmacy account and configuring C2 Vault for compliant controlled substance recordkeeping.

Welcome to C2 Vault. This guide walks you through the initial setup process, including creating your pharmacy account, entering regulatory information, inviting staff users, and reviewing your configuration before recording transactions.

Before you begin, please note that C2 Vault is a recordkeeping assistance tool. You remain solely responsible for compliance with all applicable federal and state controlled substance regulations.

When you first sign in, C2 Vault guides you through the initial onboarding process in the following order:

  1. Create Your Login Credentials — Enter your business email and create a secure password to register your pharmacy account.
  2. Verify Your Pharmacy — Enter your pharmacy's NPI number to auto-populate business details. Review and confirm accuracy before continuing.
  3. Select a Subscription Plan — Choose either a monthly or annual subscription to activate your account.
  4. Create the Admin User — Set up the primary administrator account. The administrator can manage users, permissions, and system settings.
  5. Complete Pharmacy Regulatory Information — Enter required regulatory details, including DEA registration number, DEA expiration date, and other compliance-related information. Verify all entries before saving.
  6. Configure Inventory — Add the controlled substances your pharmacy intends to track and confirm beginning inventory quantities based on your most recent physical inventory count.
  7. Add Team Members — Invite pharmacists and technicians and assign appropriate role-based permissions.
  8. Review and Verify — Confirm that all information entered is accurate before recording receipts or dispenses.

Important

Do not begin recording receipts or dispenses until your beginning inventory has been verified against your most recent physical inventory count. C2 Vault does not replace required physical inventory counts, official reporting systems, or other regulatory obligations.
