Inventory Snapshots

How to view your inventory at a specific point in time or compare stock across a date range.

Inventory snapshots let you see what your stock levels looked like on any past date. This is useful for audits, inspections, or simply reviewing how your inventory has changed over time.

Point-in-Time Snapshot

  1. Go to the Inventory page.
  2. Click Snapshot.
  3. Select a date.
  4. C2 Vault will show you the stock level for every product as of that date.

Comparison Mode

Comparison mode shows how your inventory changed between two dates:

  1. In the Snapshot view, enable Comparison Mode.
  2. Select a start date and end date.
  3. For each product, you will see:
    • Starting stock — Stock at the beginning of the period.
    • Ending stock — Stock at the end of the period.
    • Net change — The overall difference.
    • Receipts — Total units received during the period.
    • Dispenses — Total units dispensed during the period.
    • Adjustments — Total adjustment amounts during the period.

When to Use Snapshots

  • DEA inspections — Show your inventory levels as of a specific date.
  • Monthly reviews — Compare this month to last month.
  • Discrepancy investigations — Track down when a stock discrepancy first appeared.
