Understanding Alerts
How system-generated alerts work in C2 Vault.
Overview
Alerts are notifications generated automatically by C2 Vault based on the state of your data. Unlike reminders, you do not create alerts manually — the system creates them for you.
Alert Categories
Alerts are organized into tabs:
Compliance
- DEA registration expiring or expired — Your DEA registration is approaching or past its expiration date.
- State license expiring or expired — Your pharmacy license is approaching or past its expiration date.
Stock
- Reorder needed — Products with stock at or below the reorder threshold.
- Out of stock — Products with zero stock.
System
- Trial ending — Your free trial is about to expire.
- Subscription past due — A payment issue with your subscription.
- Subscription expiring — Your subscription is about to expire.
Alert Severity
Each alert has a severity level:
- Critical — Requires immediate attention.
- High — Should be addressed soon.
- Medium — Worth noting but not urgent.
- Low — Informational.
What You Can Do with Alerts
Dismiss — Remove a single alert from the list.
Dismiss All — Clear all active alerts at once.
Set Reminder — Convert the alert into a reminder with pre-filled details.
Take Action — Some alerts include a link to the relevant section of the app (e.g., a compliance alert links to Settings > Legal & Compliance).
The sidebar badge shows the total number of active alerts.
